Famous Nollywood star, Shan George has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to beam its searchlight on the movie industry after the ‘Bank of Industry’ denied receiving $200million from the former President Goodluck Jonathan for the movie industry, globally known as Nollywood.
While speaking with newsmen recently, the actress said she believed that the money had been squandered by some people in the industry. In her words; “I’m using this fine morning to ask this fine question. Who ate the money ex-president Jonathan gave to Nollywood? EFCC please probe this.”

$200 million dollars (N38 billion equivalent) is not a mean cash to joke with. EFCC should immediately swing into action at the instance of 'probe'....and to also keep the public posted with the subsequent outcome(s) of their investigation.
This is one of the much-talked-about corrupt practices swirling round and round the country that have sofar wrecked our dear nation to her present state of economic denudation. All this must stop!
