This movie tells the story of Prince Odimegwu (Chinwetalu Agu) a man who is power drunk and very ambitious. He wants to rule his people at all cost not minding the fact that his father the King is still alive. He wishes his father death and devises ways to execute his wish; but the gods of the land has a big surprise in store for him.

Taste of sorrow is sequel to Tears of a Queen. Prince Odimegwu (Chinwetalu Agu) discovers he has a stepbrother who is the rightful heir to the throne. In a desperate attempt to sit on the throne, he does the unthinkable; Feeling victorious he forgot that the ways of the gods are not known to man and cannot be questioned that only the one chosen by the gods will rule the people. The gods of the land have named a successor to the throne, but prince Odimegwu (Chinwetalu Agu) is not giving up without a fight. He wrecks untold havoc, sells the throne to the highest bidder and vows to do everything within his powers to thwart the plans of the gods. But really who dares to challenge the gods?
