There is a new trend among pregnant women in Ghana. Lots of expectant mothers in the country are now taking pills to lighten the skin of their unborn babies while they are still in the womb. Medical experts have warned pregnant women to stop taking the illegal drugs. They say these illegal drugs can cause birth defects, including damage to limbs and internal organs. The practice is growing in Ghana, according to the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), with pills often smuggled into the country inside luggage at airports in large quantities. Ghana's Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) says using Glutathione pills for the purpose of lightening babies' skin is dangerous, adding it wants "the general public to know that no product has been approved by the FDA in the form of a tablet to lighten the skin of the unborn child”. Security agencies and police are working together to arrest and prosecute companies and individuals in possession of the illegal tablets.

Wonders shall never cease.State Police Command arrested two armed robbery suspects,Shehu Buda and Bello Mallam and they both claimed they went into robbery because of the recession in Nigeria.However,one of the two armed robbers recently arrested by the Niger State Police Command, has revealed that if freed, he would still go back to rob people. According to Punchng, Shehu Buda and Bello Mallam were arrested in Talba Estate, Bida, and claimed that they went into robbery because there was recession in the country and the government did not provide any job for people. Buda, 20, and Mallam, 18, were trailed and apprehended after robbing one Mohammed Mohammed of the sum of N7,400 and two handsets valued at N9,000, after inflicting injury on him with a machete and planks for preventing them from raping his daughter Buda revealed that he committed the crime due to the economic recession in the country. “Many people are stealing in the country, including top government officials.
