Scores of students have been killed in yet another attack by terrorist group, Boko Haram, in Yobe state. The insurgents attacked the College of Agriculture Gujba, 50 KM south of Damaturu, the state capital yesterday night and killed several students. A staff of the school who confirmed the attack to Channels Television said several dead bodies are still being recovered from bushes, hostels and classes in and around the school as scores were killed in the attack. The source also revealed that surviving students are at the moment making efforts to re unite with their families in fear of further attacks by the insurgents. A witness quoted by Reuters news agency counted 40 bodies at the hospital, mostly those of young men believed to be students. College provost Molima Idi Mato, speaking to Associated Press, also said the number of dead could be as high as 50, adding that security forces were still recovering the bodies and that about 1,000 students had fled the campus. Boko Haram gunmen this morning Sunday September 29th stormed the student dormitory of the College of Agriculture in Gujba, Yobe State, shooting students as they slept, killing at least 30 of them. The death toll could be way higher as several dead bodies were recovered from hostels, classrooms, bushes and corners around the school. Area Military spokesman Lazarus Eli confirmed the incident and said that security forces have been deployed to the school to protect surviving students until they can all leave the campus. Eli said the attack was carried out by “Boko Haram terrorists who went into the school and opened fire on students while they were sleeping"

According to a report by  Sunnewsonline.com , a 20 year old girl allegedly set ablaze the 22 year old new love interest of her ex-boyfriend. The 46-year-old hardworking mother was found stabbed to death at her house in Wickford, Essex around 10 am on Thursday morning. At present her 21-year-old son, Oladotun Emmanuel Kalejaiye has been charg ed for her murder. Dotun was arrested by British Police minutes after the shocking discovery of his mother’s battered body in her bedroom. According to the late Tolu Kalejaiye‘s neighbour, she is a hardworking accountant and a very friendly woman.

At least 42 people were drowned in a boat mishap on River Niger close to Malilli Village in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State on September 27, 2013, Friday. The News Agency of Nigeria re6ports that 100 others on board were missing in the wreckage which occurred at about 2 p.m. Mr. Ibrahim Hussaini, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), confirmed the incident in a telephone interview on September 28, 2013, Saturday. He said the details were sketchy, but the boat which had over 150 passengers capsized midway and drowned 42 people, while 100 others were missing.
