The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has been rated the best university in Nigeria and number eight in Africa in the latest webometric ranking. The university’s news bulletin issued on Tuesday contained this information quoting the new Webometric rating by Cybermetric Lab of Spain, a renowned research council world over. In the publication it was noted that the council rated OAU higher on the ladder from number 14 to eight in Africa.
